it's snowing and last night i drunkenly convinced the bus driver to deviate from the normal bus route to drop me off closer to my dorm. it must have been ridiculous. the only girl on the bus, at 2:30 in the morning, with a mouth purpled from wine.
also, in other news, i left my plant in my room all six weeks of break and while home silently mourned the loss, remembering how i abandoned it. well, i came back to school and its soil was dry as a bone and had shrunk away from the edges of the pot but it was green still and had actually sprouted new growth. it was a miracle.

i bought an ivy plant the other day and all of the leaves starting slowly turning to face the direction of my window! houseplants with personalities are really unnerving despite all my affection.
i let my aloe plant die, it was freaking me out.
