walking along the side of my house toward the back door in the middle of the night last night, i imagined the letter sent to rachel about the prevalence of coyotes in our area this summer. coyotes. are. you. serious. i was sure i was about to be mauled.
of course, even though the opportunity for an attack presented itself while my key stuck in the lock, i made it inside safe.

in chicago, in wrigleyville, there are bunnies EVERYWHERE. except they don't attack. i think i saw about 16 on a 20 minute night-walk when i was there.
